Free keeps up to 5 machines active, with everything else included: service history, tasks, reminders, label scanning on your phone, and backups. Plus adds unlimited machines and 20 AI scans a month. Exporting and restoring backups is never limited, on either plan.
When you scan a model label, your phone reads it first, for free. If it couldn't read the make, model or serial, you can tap Read with AI to have the photo read by an AI model instead. Each iPhone gets 3 free AI scans, and the count stays with the phone even if you delete and reinstall the app. A scan that fails still counts, and the app tells you so before you tap.
Check it against the label every time. AI values are shown as suggestions, and nothing is filled in until you tap Use or type it yourself. A wrong model or serial number looks just like a right one.
In the app, open Settings, tap the Service Journal Plus card, then Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with.
In Settings, tap Export backup and save the .zip file somewhere safe, like Files, iCloud Drive or a computer. To restore, tap Restore from backup and pick that file. Restoring adds what's in the backup and skips anything already there; nothing is replaced or deleted.
On your iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Service Journal Plus, and choose Cancel Subscription. Plus stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Apple handles all billing and refunds.
